Festa dell’Unicorno 2019 – Vinci

Many art forms, for 15 years, have resulted in a single event called the ‘Festa dell’Unicorno’ (Unicorn Festival), the largest Medieval / Fantasy festival in Italy, which takes place in Vinci (Florence) from 26 to 28 July 2019.

To welcome all lovers of fantasy events, such as the Challenge of Magic Arts, the Elven Marriage, the Best Fantastic Creature Contest, the Sireneids and the Parade of the Elves, which offers only find this event, will be the beautiful village of Vinci. A magical place that turns into a dream village to immerse yourself in a city, in time and space.

They will alternate around 400 between shows and events, from the morning with international guests on stage, such as the Gemini Phelps (cheap) of Harry Potter and Daniel Portman, the squire of Tyrion Lannister and Brienne of Tarth in Game Of Thrones. There will also be two Cosplay competitions, which will take place on Saturdays and Sundays, one more traditional and one specific with a Fantasy theme, to follow the spirit of the Unicorn festival.
The days will end with evening concerts, which will see artists from the cartoon scene and Irish folk and Celtic-inspired bands appear on the stages of the Fumetti e Follie and Rocca Incantata areas, and many others.
For those who are rather used to this characteristic event, we have some news for you, such as the New Steampunk area, in the Vapor Valley, with Trains, Biplanes, Hot Air Balloons and Stupendous Machines for an area full of shows

How to get there: Vinci is located on the slopes of Montalbano, about 30 km from Florence. Follow the A11 – Firenze Mare motorway, Montecatini Terme exit, then follow the SS 436 or the A1 – Autostrada del Sole, exit Firenze Scandicci and the FI-PI-LI freeway.
